DEATH GATE
My Fps "First Person Shooter" games title is known as "Death Gate" the reason i have chosen the name "Death Gate" is because it represents what the game is actually about and represents the storyline.
This game will have two different teams, one team being a small army group and one team being a small demonic demon/spirit group.
This game will have a Single Player, Co-Op and Multiplayer part towards the game;
Single Player - Single player you will have a choice whether you would prefer to be on the army storyline or the demonic demon/spirit storyline.
Co-Op - Co-Op exists of doing the story line together between 2-4 people, when doing co-op it has to be people doing the same story line or you can choose whether you want to change to the other story line or not.
Multiplayer - Multiplayer consists of two teams, one team you will be part of a small army group of people and the other team you will be part of a small group of demonic demons/spirits. On multiplayer the game can have 16 people in a game, 2-8 people per team
Game Genres
Death Gate's genres consist of Sci-Fi, Horror, Action, Adventure, Singleplayer And Multiplayer.
Character Representations
Death Gate's character representation on multiplayer consists of being able to choose which gender you want to be and there will be three different main specs of characters that you can choose from, each spec of character has better cons/characteristics than the others.
Army Team:
Mechanical Suit - You will have a character in a mechanical suit, this suit allows the user to take less damage, move slower than other characters and do more damage than other characters.
Swift Suit - You will have a character in a swift suit with jets built into the suit allowing the character to move at a 25% faster speed than other characters, shoot faster and climb obstacles faster, take more damage than other characters.
Jump Suit - You will have a character in a jump suit that allows extra jump by 25% and sharpened shooting allowing a 10% faster time on aiming down the sight than other characters.
Demonic Demon/Spirits Team:
Risen Old Vanquished Soldier - You can choose to be a risen old vanquished soldier that is capable of smashing through walls, not being able to jump, can take loads of damage before death, main weapon being a giant sword and can rip people apart if within melee range with his fists.
Life Sucker - You can choose to be a life sucker that is a ghoul that can fly through walls, move at 50% faster than other characters and can only attack when within melee range, so they grab their enemy and pull them through the floor then suck the life out of their enemy.
Destructor - You can choose to be a destructor which this character will have the main perk of being able to possess an enemy and use their enemy against the enemies own team mates, this character can also grab a hold of objects and chuck objects at their enemy, another perk of this character is that they can grapple their enemy from a fair distance to possess them, once the possessed host is killed this character can jump to the next enemies body.
Emotional Themes
In Death Gate, the emotional themes will mainly consist of fear, the reason why the main emotional theme of Death Gate is fear is because the whole entire world run for their lives; when there is no where to hide from these demonic demon/spirits. The secondary emotional themes for Death Gate will consist of valour, heroism and justice; because there is no escaping the death that is to come, so the only way out is to try and take on as much as you can before death reaches you. The reason i choose these emotional themes is because it makes the user more attracted to wanting to play the game.
Interactive Player Control
In Death Gate, the interactive player control is what makes the user of Death Gate more attracted towards the game, this involves the user being able to choose a certain character and to customise the character to fit their own needs, whether it be on the army team or the demonic demon/spirits team; as you progress through the game and level up further you unlock better customisations than other characters, or you collect points per mission or per time you win a game on multiplayer that can be spent on an auction house to try and buyout an item before anyone else does or you can spin the box and hope you get lucky on a random item to help customise your character. The interactive player control will consist of;
A = Jump/Double Press = Double Jump/Hover Up
B = Crouch/Hover Down
X = Special Move
Y = Swap Weapon
RB = Grenade/Grapple
RT = Shoot
LB = Roll
LT = Aim
LA = Move/ Click, Push = Move Faster
RA = Direction/Turn/ Click = Grab
LS = Use Kill Streak
US = Use Kill Streak
RS = Use Kill Streak
BS = Use Kill Streak
The reason i have chosen this way of interacting with the characters is that it will be simple and easy for the user to pick up and learn from. Each time a mission is completed, a cinematic will trigger showing the storyline of the game and at the end of the game, each cinematic will explain the storyline better each time, or when a multiplayer mission occurs there will be a 15 second cinematic introducing the team going into the games chosen map and the reason i choose this time is so that its not to long so that it doesnt stress the user out of wanting to just get on with the game.
Storyline
The main storyline behind “Death Gate” involves at the start of the campaign, architects find an old giant pot buried under foots of mud, this giant pot is encased by metal chains, the pot was found under an old Jamaican witch house; according to an old story, this witch was a big sorcerer; that one day discovered ancient evil demonic spells that released demons across the world; because of this the witch’s small guilty side finally kicked in and that’s when she knew she had messed up, so she enchanted this pot to bring back all the evil within the world and lock it inside this giant pot. After this pot was discovered it was re-located to a museum in New York-America; but there’s only a few people in the world that know of this story and there was this old man, that felt like he had nothing to live for anymore, and for no one to remember him, he wanted to re-live his whole life with a better life, so he broke into the museum, robbed the pot, he smashed open the chain when he got to an old abandoned factory, and finally released all these spirits that were locked away for thousands of years, he became possessed as he wanted, became the rightful ruler of the spirit world and seeks to create a new world in his image, he sent the demonic demon/spirits to possess people or to go kill people. There were a small super group of army people in an underground base before this happened, that saw that all of this was happening up on earth, and they pre-pared themselves to take on these spirits and put them back from where they came from.

Both of these HUD's "Heads Up Displays" started of in a sketch book apart of my ideas along with my other ideas for HUD's, the reason that i chose these HUD's is that they both fit both sides of the game storyline relating to the genres of Sci-Fi and Horror. The Health Bar represents the Sci-Fi genre, the Power Bar represents the Horror genre, the Objective Bar represents the Horror Genre, the ammo and grenades bar represents the Sci-Fi genre, the Map represents both genres Horror and Sci-Fi and finally the cross hair represents both genres as well. I received both background images from the internet.

My poster started of in my sketch book along with other ideas of a poster, i chosen my poster because it represents the main evil boss and fits well with the title "Death Gate" before i put my drawn poster into "Photoshop" i had to scan it into my area, i then opened it into photoshop, draw the outlines around everything, coloured everything, added shading to the character and added a glow around the text to make it stand out from the background because the problem was that it was blending into the background but i need my background because im trying to keep dark colours and the main colours of my game will be purple, red and black, my background was a gradient of purple and black. I made a change to the letter "D" by giving it a new design because it looked too black at first and at the bottom of the letters "A" i got rid of the tentacles because i thought it was too much.

My Game Cover started of in my sketch book and then was scanned into my area and worked on in "Photoshop" i used my poster for my front cover but this time added highlights to the character, and i received the xbox one template from "My Course" to use for my game cover and also scanned in my back cover from my sketch book, the reason i have drawn a factory is that it relates to my game of where the main evil guy unleashes the chaos also where the old guy turns evil and turns into the main evil boss.
